3.1 Support to the development of health protection and social services

The project involves joint action against the negative demographic trends of the Minsk Oblast and Siedlce subregion through the development of specialized health care of mother and child. The aim of project is to improve access to high quality gynecological-obstetric and neonatal care in both regions. Thanks to infrastructure, specialized medical equipment. As well as implementation programs in the field of prenantal and neonantal diagnosis and through the exchange of expercience and skills of medical personel from Siedlce and Minsk, the development of healthcare in the borderland areaand increase of social satisfaction – particulary of young familie – will be possible. Within new infrastructure in Siedlce hospital specialistic child healthcare will be ensured in the field of diabetology, cardiology, neonatology, neurology, nephrology, allergology and mental health. It is assumed that the Project will increase the safety of health mother and baby in Polish-Belarusian borderland. Health programs will help to promote prenatal diagnosis among pregnant women, while extended medical offer of both hospitals will increase the psychological Comfort of the mother after childbirth (especially by de-institutionalization of medical care thanks to CTG). Both hospitals will be upgraded and provided with specialist medical equipment and a common database of fetal malformations, developed on the basis of medical research done within the project, will be created. Partnership of hospitals in Minsk and Siedlce will not only enable to realize the investments and to improve access to health care, but also to jointly implement medical solutions in gynecology of the PL-BY borderland.
