2.1 Improvement and development of transport services and infrastructure

The cross-border area is characterised by the poor conditions of road infrastructure, difficult access to valuable tourist places of historical value, long travel time and increased emissions of fumes into the environment. The partners are going to solve the above problems fulfilling the main goal of the project by improving transport accessibility of the cross-border regions, through the modernisation of the local road. As a result, it will improve the spatial accessibility of the cross-border areas, and the economic attractiveness of these areas will increase, as well as attractiveness to tourism. The main products of the project will be modernised roads with a total lenght of 24.43 km (16.8 in Ukraine and 7.63 in Poland). Benefits of the project will be visible in the form of improving the safety of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, improved access to services and social resources, an increase in revenues from tourism and entrepreneurship.
