Grodno Regional Custom House (Grodno Oblast, Belarus)
Podlaskie Voivodeship Office (Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland)
State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk Oblast, Belarus)
The project will contribute to development of border management operations, as well as positively influence the development of border safety. The aim of the project is the development of border management operations as well as improvement of Belarusian-Polish border security by modernization of local area network at road border crossing points “Bruzgi-2” and “Berestovica”. The expected results are improvement of transparency and effectiveness of customs control procedures that increase border safety especially in such spheres as prevention and reduction of illegal migration and trade of prohibited goods and fight with organized crime. Thus, those who benefit from the project will be cargo carriers and persons crossing the border at the border crossing points “Bruzgi-2” and “Berestovica” as well as personnel of border, customs and other services at the border. Project objectives and expected results will be achieved by cross-border approach to the project implementation, as modernization of customs systems at road border crossing points “Bruzgi-2” and “Berestovica” will create the conditions necessary for operative and safe border crossing in both directions (the only border between the European Union and Eurasian Economic Union).
