Schuchyn Municipality (Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland)
The Executive Committee of the City Council Kovel (Volynska Oblast, Ukraine)
Education, Sport and Tourism Division of Shchuchyn District Executive Committee (Grodno Oblast, Belarus)
Schuchyn Municipality in Poland, the city of Kovel in Ukraine and the Shchuchyn raion in Belarus have enormous cultural diversity and many historical sites with valuable natural areas. Unfortunately nowadays there is no sufficient infrastructure to cultivate and promote the multi-ethnic and multi-religious traditions existing in this area. At the same time, due to a strong influence of Western culture, the young generations are less and less interested in cultivating their local traditions. The challenge faced by the project partners is to strengthen the inter-cultural connections as well as to show the richness and diversity of the border area for wide groups of people thus increasing the attractiveness of the image of the entire region. The overall aim of the project is to promote the richness of cultural and ethnic diversity of border area by means of creating a center of cultural promotion in the form of cross-border amphitheaters with a comprehensive cultural offer including art, folklore, science, literature, painting, theater, crafts. Implementation of the project will have a cross-border nature, necessary to protect the valuable cultural heritage of the border area.
