Project idea (in English)

We want to make a three-way exchange between young people from Ukraine, Poland and Belarus. The project objectives are the development of critical thinking and critical consideration of history, familiarity with the culture of memory and its role in building peaceful dialogue and cooperation. It is interesting and important for us to discuss with the youth the experience of their families and countries during the communist regime / after the end of the Second World War. Participants will turn to the stories of their families, communicate with the older generation, and attend thematic exhibitions and excursions. They will also be able to compare how the history of that period in schools and universities is presented, which is common and different in the culture of memory. Participants will be able to discuss the influence of the communist regime on members of their families, different points of view on individual events, understand the importance of a critical approach to the consideration of historical events and the preservation of memory of them.
