Saponite clay is a unique natural formation that is a province of bentonite raw materials with special properties. Khmelnytskyi Region is the only region in Ukraine where there are explored deposits of clay. Taking into account the structural features of saponite there can be offered the perspectives of use of the saponite as an environmentally safe raw material, technologically efficient and economically beneficial natural material: - treatment of sewage; - cleaning of food products from heavy metals and radio-nuclides; - production of nano-particles and light porous fillers; - as a substrate of enterosorbent; - as an ameliorator with complex action; - as an absorber of microwave radiation; - as a complex mineral food and feed additives.
