Project description

Boguchwała and Rozvadiv communes are characterized by the historical and cultural potential that can significantly boost tourism. Both areas are faced with the insufficient promotion of their rich local cultural and historical heritage and its attractiveness. The problem is also the increasing lack of regional heritage awareness. In order to use the tourist potential of both communes, their active promotion is necessary.

The JointHeritage project beneficiaries want to attract more tourists through the intensive promotion of the Polish-Ukrainian cultural and historical borderland heritage presented as a tourism product on partners’ websites, social media, book publication. The partners will organize four cross-border cultural events in the Boguchwała and Rozvadiv communes during which the participants of different ages and culture background will take part in workshops which will allow to strengthen generational ties, acquire new skills, preserve the cultural heritage and diversity, as well as to pass the tradition to young generations. To widely promote regional traditions, the project will also include the retrofitting of the two culture centres in Boguchwała and Veryn. The Municipal Culture Centre in Boguchwała will purchase the equipment necessary for culinary workshops and integrational meetings for children and adults, which will be organized to promote regional traditions. The Cultural Center in Veryn will gain a modular and portable stage and other small equipment for arranging the open-air concert and other attractive events in the Rozvadiv commune in the future.

The inhabitants and tourists will take advantage of the cultural and recreational services of the JointHeritage project. Thanks to the project implementation, they will have the chance to learn more about the history, culture, and traditions of both regions.
