The Polish National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has launched a call for proposals under the Programme “Investments in Sewage Management Outside the Country”. The budget of the call is PLN 100 million. Co-financing can be obtained for the construction, extension or modernization of sewage treatment plants and collective sewage systems, as well as drafting of documentation and carrying out of preparatory work for these activities.

The objective of the NFOŚiGW Programme is to improve or protect the status of surface, underground, transitional and coastal waters in Poland through water and sewage investments outside the country.

The call for proposals (continuous) began on April 1 and will last until December 18, 2019. Potential beneficiaries in this Programme may be entities implementing projects and investments outside of Poland, in the field of environmental protection and water management, related to sewage management or sludge management, affecting the improvement of ecological security of Poland.

The National Fund has reserved up to PLN 100 million for the implementation of the Programme in 2016-2023. Currently, support - in the form of a preferential loan - is predicted at the level of up to 90 percent of eligible costs of a project.
