13 / 03 / 2020
Category: Programme News

Dear Beneficiaries,

To follow the current epidemic threat and its negative impact on implementation of projects under the European Neighbourhood Instrument programs, we would like to inform you that the Managing Authority will take into account the exceptional and unforeseen circumstances caused by the above when evaluating progress in the projects. All cases will be considered individually to assist you. Depending on the type of project and problem, we will be looking for optimal solutions together with you.

The Managing Authority, together with foreign partners, is working on mechanisms that will allow you to efficiently implement the activities planned in the projects in a flexible and favourable manner. As part of the above, we are considering:

- approval for the extension of the project implementation period,

- expanding deadlines for submitting requests for payments,

- flexible approach to deadlines for check on-the-spot visits,

- a more flexible approach to assessing the eligibility of expenditure influenced by the current epidemic threat.

We kindly ask you to keep the JTS project manager informed of any problems in the project that are caused by the epidemic threat due to the spread of coronavirus.

At the same time, we also ask you to make all necessary efforts to cancel meetings and recover funds paid within the projects as soon as possible, in accordance with the terms of the contract in case of cancellation of: trips, meetings, events, etc.
