Despite the difficult situation in the Programme area, "PBU Wandering Academy" continues its journey. We firmly believe that young people are the hope for a better future and that they will be able to join future project teams with new energy.
This time, classes for students were held at the Maria-Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin. They were attended by students of various faculties including economics, logistics, management, economic analysis, finance and accounting as well as international law in the European Union. The students were welcomed by Prof. Andrzej Miszczuk from the Faculty of Economics, who has contributed academically to the preparation of the new edition of the Programme for the years 2021-2027.
1,5-hour classes consisted of a theoretical part about the Programme and the financing of EU projects and a workshop with a "case study" based on a selected project from the Programme PL-BY-UA 2014-2020. Students had the opportunity to learn about the main assumptions, indicators, activities and budget of the project, get familiar with the operation of the application generator and propose their own project as part of the exercises. The whole training was met with a very positive response:
I think it was the best workshop I have been to.
I liked the practical part and my own project development the most.
I am glad that the content was from the head, from the heart, and not from a piece of paper.
The event convinced me that organizing projects is not as difficult as I thought.
These are just some of the student feedback we received after the class. When asked what we could do better and what activities we could undertake for young people in the future, students most often asked for even more practical workshops on writing and implementing projects. And here we have good news - another "PBU Wandering Academy" tour is planned for next year!
"PBU Wandering Academy" is a series of classes for students organized by the Programme's branch offices in its eligible area in cooperation with universities. The first classes were held at the University of Białystok. The next ones are scheduled for May at the University of Rzeszów. As soon as the situation allows, classes will also begin in Ukraine. The undertaking is part of the European Year of Youth proclaimed by the EU.
