On 5th July, on the Polish Radio „Trójka,” a radio programme about one of the projects realized under the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 was broadcasted.
Broadcast concerned the possibilities offered by the various EU programmes and their available co-financing. In particular, the broadcast focused on cross-border programmes and the European Territorial Cooperation programmes. The project „Shtetl Routes. Objects of Jewish cultural heritage in cross-border tourism” was presented as an interesting example of a project on the protection of cultural heritage. The leader of this project realized under the Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 was The „Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Center from Poland. The trilateral partnership included institutions from Belarus: Yanka Kupala State University of Hrodna, Navahrudak Museum of History and Regional Studies and from Ukraine: Centre for Social and Business Initiatives in Yaremche and Rivne Marketing Research Centre. Project coordinator, Emil Majuk, talked about the main effects of the project and its importance in preserving the memory of the common heritage of the Jewish culture in the Polish-Belarusian-Ukrainian borderland. The possibility of application for grants for similar initiatives under the new perspective of the Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 was presented by Rafał Baliński, Deputy Director in the Department of Territorial Cooperation in the Ministry of Economic Development (Poland).
