Are you planning an event to mark the 20^th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union? A picnic, a debate, a concert, a training course, an exhibition? Add them to the map of events and celebrate with us.

20 years ago Poland joined the European Union. This is one of the most important events in the recent history of the country. The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy wants to celebrate the 20 years of Poland's membership in the EU together with you. During the celebrations we want to show together the changes that have taken place in social and economic life, how many interesting projects have been carried out in Poland over the last two decades.

On the occasion of this anniversary, many attractions will take place all over Poland. Meetings, festivals, exhibitions, competitions, sport games, workshops, school plays, conferences, European May Days and open days at projects implemented thanks to the Poland's presence in the EU. An important element of the 20^th anniversary celebrations is the European Funds Open Days (EFOD), which will take place on 10^th and 11^th May 2024.

EFOD is an annual celebration of European Funds organised in all regions of Poland. It allows people to learn more about the variety of projects implemented with the help of EU funds. This year, the event has a special dimension as it will be part of the government's campaign dedicated to celebrating the 20^th anniversary of Poland's presence in the EU.

The map of attractions will be available at www.20lat.eu and will include DOFE events as well as all other events related to the 20^th anniversary of Poland's membership in the EU.

Who can organise and submit an event?

We invite everyone who wants to join the celebrations: institutions, local authorities, pupils, students, schools, kindergartens, sports clubs, interest groups, NGOs, beneficiaries of EU funds.

What do you gain?

By joining the celebrations of the 20^th anniversary of Poland in the European Union, you will gain:

• promotion of your event on the website www.20lat.eu, which will have a large online reach
• the possibility of finding your event in a special search engine on the website
• media coverage of your event, and for selected, most interesting attractions, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy is planning professional promotion on television, the Internet and on the radio.

How to submit an event?

Fill in one of the forms:

• for the European Funds Open Days organised on 10^th – 11^th May - register by 1^st May
• for celebrations marking Poland's 20^th anniversary in the EU lasting the whole year - application deadline is 5^th May

Events will be placed on the map after verification. Attractions from every corner of Poland will be easy to find thanks to a search engine.

We encourage Polish beneficiaries of projects implemented during all editions of the Poland-(Belarus)-Ukraine Programme to actively participate in the celebrations and show what we have gained through the implementation of our projects.
