"The CROSSBORDERER" 2024, or let's take stock of the past year!

10 / 01 / 2025
Category: Programme News

The beginning of the year is an excellent time to take stock of the events of the previous, and it is in the framework of the first such review that we cordially invite you to read the latest edition of the magazine - "The CROSSBORDERER" 2024. The magazine has once again been prepared in two languages: Polish and Ukrainian.

In addition to summaries, the issue also deals with the new challenges facing the Programme. It opens with interviews with a representative of the Managing Authority, Deputy Minister Konrad Wojnarowski, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy of the Republic of Poland, and a representative of the Ukrainian government, Ihor Yaremenko, Deputy Secretary of State in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. This is followed by a summary of the discussions and consultations on the future of the Programme. Conclusions for the future include an evaluation of the previous edition of the Programme, which we also write about.

We also present for you the internal events of the Programme, including the first contracts signed last year for the implementation of Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 projects. We also jointly mention promotional events, especially the Youth Education Campaign with its final in the Bieszczady Mountains and the "Priority: HEALTH" Conference in Janów Podlaski. We are also continuing our series "Portraits of the regions", in which this time we have presented the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the projects implemented in them. You will also find interviews with representatives of the authorities of these regions involved in the work of the Programme Monitoring Committee.

In the entertaining "Kaleidoscope", we set off on a journey in the footsteps of the Goths in the Polish-Ukrainian borderland and invite you to geographic riddles.

Inviting you to read, Andrzej Słodki, Head of the Joint Secretariat, writes:

We will support the Ukrainian regions on their further European path, and important consultations and meetings on the next edition of the Programme after 2027 are already behind us, so let's get on with it!

Joining these words, we wish you a pleasant reading!
