On 17 th February in Przemyśl, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Adam Hamryszczak signed another grant contract which will be implemented under the Thematic Objective Heritage.
The project entitled "The World of Carpathian Rosettes - Activities for preserving the cultural uniqueness of the Carpathians" (ROSETTES) will be implemented by the Association for Development and Promotion of Podkarpackie Region „Pro Carpathia” in cooperation with ten other institutions from the borderland of Poland and Ukraine.
The main objective of the project is to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the Carpathians, including crafts, traditions, customs, music and architecture.
For this purpose, as a part of the project, the Polish-Ukrainian Carpathian promotional center called Rosette will be established. The center will consist of 4 cooperating units in Poland and Ukraine, it will include inter alia establishment of the Carpathian Institute and the Center of Boyko people. The project also provides for research and studies on the contemporary cultural model of the local community of the Carpathians.
The ROSETTES project, which received almost 1,4 million EUR of co-financing under the Programme, will last two years.
