On 5th June, in Lublin, the “Wprost” weekly handed the prestigious "Orły Wprost” prizes. These prizes are awarded to companies, local governments, outstanding personalities of the region and cross-border projects for an outstanding contribution to the development of the economy and the country.
During the gala ceremony, Ms. Dina Goncharova and Mr. Bogdan Kawałko, particularly distinguished persons within the 15-year Polish-Belarusian-Ukrainian cross-border cooperation, were awarded.
Ms. Dina Goncharova has been actively involved in the Program since its inception, in 2004-2006 as an expert of the Programme branch office in Lviv, in the 2007-2013 edition as a representative of the Belarusian National Institution and a member of the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme, currently managing the Belarusian National Contact Point.
Mr. Bogdan Kawałko is the Director of the Regional Policy Department of the Marshal Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, a representative of the most active region in the Programme on the Polish side of its area. Director Kawałko is a long-term propagator of Polish cross-border cooperation with Belarus and Ukraine, and a member of the Joint Monitoring Committee of all three editions of the Programme.
