On the 19 and 20th of June, more than 200 participants gathered in Lviv to attend the Annual Conference and celebrate the 15th anniversary of CBC Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine. The events gathered the “creators” of the Programme, representatives of Programme bodies and beneficiaries of the three PBU editions.
During the 15 years of the Programme history many projects have been implemented, long-term contacts established, local infrastructure improved, heritage preserved and new tourist destinations promoted. The Annual Conference was an opportunity not only to sum up the achievements, discuss the current state of affairs in the Programme, but also and share the ideas about its future.
The Conference opened with the short film about the anniversary, followed by the welcome words of representatives of Ukrainian and Polish central authorities. Then, Pawel Slowikowski, the Head of JTS, had a presentation on 15 years of PBU.
Two panel discussions, which followed the presentation, focused on the Programme from the perspective of Programme bodies and project beneficiaries. Representatives of Programme bodies, including the programme “creators”, discussed the past and the present of the Pogramme – how it started, how it developed, what was the evolution of project ideas, what opportunities it will offer in the future. Then, the representatives of successful PBU projects told about their experience and lessons learned.
During the event in Lviv people from the projects had an opportunity to meet their partners, communicate, establish new contacts and share their project ideas. In the evening, awards were handed out to Programme “creators” and project representatives. The evening ended with a PBU birthday cake.
On the next day, the city tour in the downtown of Lviv took place, showcasing the outputs of some PBU projects. The day ended with the concert of Tolhaje (PL), Irdorath (BY), Kozak System (UA) bands.
