Within the celebration of the European Cooperation Day 2018 (EC Day 2018) the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 organized a triathlon in Kamianiec district of Brest region (Belarus).

50 participants of the event divided into 2 groups rafted along Lesnaya river and cycled from Uglyany village (Kamianiec district) to Kamianiec simultaneously. Following that a visit was made to the objects reconstructed within projects of the Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013. In particular the Centre of Correctional-Developmental Science and Rehabilitation in Kamianiec (Project “Didactic Infrastructure Modernization of Poland-Belarus Cooperation in Aid of the Handicapped”) and Kamianiec waste treatment facilities (project “Extension of the Cross-Border Sewage Treatment System in Drainage Area of the River Bug (Western)”) were visited.

Then the triathlon participants were engaged in a mass race in the park of Vysokaje (Kamianiec district) following which they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the Project “An Integrated Project of Support for Tourism Sector of Polish-Belarusian Borderland” implemented within the Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 as well.
