The city of Lublin has been the host of the Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress for the seventh consecutive time - this year's event took place on 24-25th September 2018. The Congress took place at a very special time for Poland - celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the country's independence. Around 1,500 guests from all-over Poland and abroad (local government, politicians, scientists, experts, leaders from the European Union and the Eastern Partnership) talked about the role of the cross-border and international cooperation, local initiatives and building a common future.

During the two-day event, a number of meetings, seminars, presentations and discussion panels were held. We were there too! At the Donor’s Fair, we successfully promoted the PL-BY-UA Programme by sharing the good practices and experience in the implementation of the projects. Ewa Adamczuk, representative of the Joint Technical Secretariat, took part in one of the discussion panels, noting the role of our Programme in supporting  the Beneficiaries of the cross-border area and encouraging them to take part in the call for projects with small budgets.
