On 1st October, in Polańczyk, as part of the "Programme for Bieszczady" Conference the Undersecretary of State of Ministry of Investment and Economic Development Adam Hamryszczak signed another contract for co-financing a project under the Thematic Objective Security.
The project titled "Together for Saving Lives. Integrated Polish-Ukrainian System of First Aid in the Area of the Border" will be implemented by the Bieszczady Poviat in cooperation with the Independent Public Healthcare Centre, Staryi Sambir Regional Council and Staryi Sambir Central District Hospital. The overall im of the project is to increase the level of health safety of the residents of the Bieszczady Poviat and the Staryi Sambir region, tourists and users of border crossing due to improvement of accessibility to medical services, increasing the competence of the medical personnel. In order to obtain this goal the modernization of permises of the local hospital in Ustrzyki Dolne, purchase of medical equipment and ambulances for hospitals in Ustrzyki Dolne and Staryi Sambir are planned. The staff of both hospitals will expand their knowledge and improve their skills during joint conferences, training sessions and working meetings.
