On 4th October in the "Złota Góra" hotel complex near Uzhgorod, under the Carpathian Euroregion Forum, the grant contract for co-financing the project " Joint protection of people and environment through the creation of Ukrainian-Polish system of disasters prevention and response in the Carpathian Euroregion " was signed.
As part of the project, 11 fire engines and refractory equipment sets as well as 3 minibuses for regional branches of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in: Lviv, Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk regions will be purchased, joint training for employees of the Carpathian Region rescue departments will be planned, the specialized building (smoke chamber) will be constructed in Rzeszów to conduct trainings with simulation of real emergency situations. Moreover, the joint strategy for disaster prevention and response in the Carpathian region will be developed.
The documents were signed by the Director of the Department of Territorial Cooperation in the Ministry of Investment and Development Rafał Baliński and the Executive Director of the Association of Self-governments "Euroregion Carpathians - Ukraine" Halyna Lytvyn.
