On October 17-19, 2018 the International Scientific Conference on “Problems of Forecasting and State Regulation of Socio-Economic Development” took place in Minsk, the conference was organized by the Scientific and Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus with participation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus, Maksim Ermolovich and Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Dmitry Matusevich. In the plenary session of the conference, the Director of the Center of European Projects Leszek Buller presented the development possibilities of the border regions on the example of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine.
In the framework of the conference the Polish-Belarusian round table was organized, the purpose of which was to discuss the priorities of socio-economic development of the regions of the Republic of Belarus in the context of cross-border cooperation programming under the new EU financial perspective for 2021-2027. During the discussion, the Head of the JTS Paweł Słowikowski and the representative of the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development of Poland, Małgorzata Chętko presented crucial information on the Programme in the current financial perspective 2014-2020 as well as so far arrangements for the future of the cross-border cooperation between the EU and third countries.
