On the 28th of February 2019 in Lutsk an international scientific conference was organized within the project “New life of the old city: revitalization of monuments of historical and cultural heritage of Lutsk and Lublin” (Acronym TwoTowers), funded by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020. This project with a total budget of 1,676 million euros involves the revitalization of the Chortoryskiy tower, the Jesuit monastery with basements in Lutsk, the restoration of the Gothic Tower in Lublin and other activities aimed at preserving and improving tourist attractiveness of the historical and cultural monuments of both cities.
The conference "Experience of Revitalization and Promotion of Historical and Cultural Heritage" was attended by representatives of the Programme, state authorities, scientists, architects and experts from Ukraine, Poland and Belarus. During the event, new ideas and achievements in the area of restoration and revitalization of architectural monuments, their promotion for tourism purposes were discussed. Scientific contributions presented during the conference will be published in a book and distributed in educational institutions and libraries in Ukraine and Poland.
