On the 13th of March 2019 in Ostrołęka the opening conference was organised within the project "Joint initiative of the Mazovian Specialist Hospital in Ostrołęka and Lviv Regional Pediatric Clinical Hospital as increase of accessibility of health care services in the scope of modern surgery”. The project received funding from the first Call for Proposals (Regular projects) in the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Programme and is implemented jointly in the Polish-Ukrainian partnership.
The conference was attended by representatives of both project partners, representatives of the self-government authorities of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship as well as local governments from Poland and Ukraine and representatives of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme. Presentations and debate during the conference were focused, among others, on innovations and increasing the availability of health care services in the field of modern minimally invasive surgery.
For the implementation of the project, within two years of its duration, both partners will receive 1,24 million euros from the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020. The funds will be primarily intended for the purchase of the medical equipment for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. The partners will also carry out joint activities aimed at developing a high standard of medical services in both facilities.
