Project idea (in English)

The project is aimed at the revival of one of the most attractive areas of the town - the town centre, which is located on the site of the former market square, historical business card of Zbarazh. The first chronicle mention of Zbarazh dates back to 1211. The town is known for a large number of architectural monuments, namely a castle museum of 1630. The centre of the town was a market square, built at the end of the XVI century with the best European traditions (modern name is Maidan I. Franko). By 1939, the market square was historical and cultural side and business card of the town. After the Second World War the ruined historic town centre was not restored. Most of the beautiful houses are lost. This project gives the opportunity to direct the urban development process to the systemic rebuilding of the market area; removal of uncharacteristic elements of the aesthetic and architecture of the Soviet period, reproduction of historical image of the town centre; will promote the development of tourist attractiveness and European identity of Zbarazh.
