Project idea (in English)

Title of the project: Information technologies for identifying environmental threats from global warming and supporting decision-making for their elimination. The main idea is to analyze the causes of the occurrence of such a phenomenon as area local overheatings on the basis of data from open sources (maps with the locations of local overheating) and propose measures to eliminate them. Such local overheating often occurs as a result of human activity, man-made and natural disasters, etc. Comprehensive measures and recommendations for local authorities will be developed to eliminate such local overheating, which can lead to the imbalance and change of ecosystems or even climate change in limited areas. The territory to be analyzed is the Lviv Region of Ukraine and the Carpathian Voivodeship of Poland. As a result of such a project, an information system will be developed that will automatically identify places of overheating as problematic from the point of view of preserving ecosystems. Later such experience can be extended to other territories.
