Project idea (in English)

The main problems in climate change mitigation and adaptation at the local level in Ukraine are: lack of priority for climate change for managers, lack of knowledge about climate change, ways to adapt and reduce emissions, low tax on CO2 emissions, which makes emission reduction measures economically unprofitable. We aim to create a focal point for training and support for the development of climate change adaptation documents for the territorial communities of Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions on the basis of the Yasynia Field Geographic Practice Training Base (Chorna Tysa village, Rakhiv district, Zakarpattia region). The project's objective is to develop a methodological framework, material and technical base, roadmap, and first measures aimed at adapting to climate change.
