For centuries, the Sapieha Family owned two regions: Boćki Commune (Poland) and Rozan in the Pruzhany region (Belarus). Unfortunately, the inhabitants of these areas practically do not know the common history associated with this famous family. The main reason is the limited access to places where one could learn about a rich history. Therefore, the main goal of the project is to strengthen the potential and cultivate the historical heritage of the Sapieha Family. Achieving the goal in the project will be possible through the implementation of activities improving the attractiveness of the regions.
The SAPIEHA project is aimed at inhabitants and tourists visiting the Boćki Commune and the Pruzhany region. On each side of the border, international events will be organized to present the heritage of Sapieha Family. To promote the cultural and historical values of these regions, the publication "Common historical heritage of the Sapieha family" will be created. In addition, an offer and accessibility of the Sapieha Family museum complex will improve. As it is important to take interest in history and culture, residents should have an opportunity to learn about the noble family. Joint meetings, conferences, cultural events, and other promotional will contribute to the preservation of regional historical and cultural heritage.
As a result, the implementation of the SAPIEHA project will bring benefits on both sides of the border. The project will arouse the interest in common history and culture among the inhabitants. The project activities will strengthen cultural and historical links, increase the potential of the local community and contribute to the development of tourism.
