Today, most of the cities that are a tourist destination, in addition to the coat of arms, has its own logo and/or brand. At the same time, almost no attention is paid to music in city branding, although many tourists recognize the city precisely by the sound line and can quickly recall its image when hearing identical sounds. Hrodna and Sokółka have a rich history, including those associated with the personalities of August Poniatowski and Antoni Tyzenhauz, to whom they owe a common cultural and historical heritage. These developing cities need unique music brands that will allow local residents and tourists to feel their atmosphere and leave impressions for a long time.
For this purpose partners of TyzenhauzMelody project will organize the contest for the creation of the Tyzenhauz bugle call reflecting the spirit of that times. They will also help to revive the King August Poniatowski musical tradition called “Thursday Lunches”. This tradition will be included in the event calendar of the cross-border region, which will be a great point in the cultural life of local residents and will attract more tourists. Some of the project activities will be held in the Tyzenhauz buildings, reconstructed in Нrоdnа and Sokółka within the regular project Tyzenhauz. Thematic excursions named "Avenues of Love" (in Belarus) and "Royal Walk" (in Poland), public round tables created within the project and dedicated to the tangible and intangible heritage of the late 18th century will allow diverse tourist offers and to create new tourist products.
Joint activities on both sides of the Polish-Belarusian border, contest and creation of web pages, dedicated to Tyzenhauz, will allow for creative expression and self-realization of people, including those with special needs, and draw their attention to important historical figures and to the common intangible cultural heritage. The project will contribute to the preservation and popularization of unique regional musical and performance traditions.
