Programme at the Economic Forum in Krynica

For the second time, the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine, took part in the Economic Forum in Krynica. The 28th Economic Forum took place on 4-6th September under the slogan “Europe of common values or Europe of common interests?”

On 5th September, guests present at the forum had the opportunity to participate in an innovative panel organized by the Programme. At the beginning of the panel, a film showing the achievements of 15 years of cooperation between Poland, Belarus and Ukraine under the European Funds was shown. The guests of the panel, led by Lolita Gedo, were: Maria Koc, Vice-Marshal of the Senate, Ewa Leniart, the Voivode of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Janina Ewa Orzełowska, Vice-Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Dina Gonczarowa, the Executive Director of the International Center of Technical Assistance of the European Union in the Republic of Belarus and Halyna Lytvyn, the Executive Director of the Association “Euroregion Carpathians – Ukraine”. During the panel, the main discussion was about the accomplishments within the Programme in the field of material and spiritual protection of the cultural achievements of the Polish-Belarusian-Ukrainian borderland, and what are the possibilities for further activities in this area.

During the evening ceremony of awarding Carpathian projects under the conference "Europe of the Carpathians", two projects implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 were awarded. Leszek Buller, Director of the Center of European Projects presented the award to the project "Creation of Polish-Ukrainian Center of Breeding and Promotion of Hucul Horse". On behalf of the project, the award was accepted by Władysław Brejta - President of the Research Division of the Institute of Zootechnics - The State Research Institute Odrzechowa (Poland). The special award was presented by Marek Kuchciński, the Marshal of the Sejm, to the project "Promotion of the common historical and cultural heritage of Poland and Ukraine - the Przemyśl Fortress”. The award was received by Dawid Lasek, Vice-President of the Board of the Euroregion Carpathians - Poland.

Within the Forum, experts of the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Programme could be met at the CEP stand located in the New Spa House Pavilion.
